Summer of 2020
2020 has been long, lazy, hot, wet, challenging and perplexing. So, trying some new creations to stir the crazies. The biggest project, chalk painted chest of drawers, and hand painted galleon and map, with matching paper inside and outside of drawers. Also painted various cards. Twin Lifestyles My husband and I have led such similar, and such completely different lifestyles. He grew up in Maine (snow, lakes, cold ocean), and I grew up in Florida (sunshine, Gulf of Mexico, warm and tropical). So am braving a couple of larger paintings, 18 X 24 canvases. The first one, a Maine setting we have immersed ourselves into for almost 20 years. The second, our favorite spot here in our community in Palm Harbor, Florida--Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands. Oh yeah, and they both involve kayaking. This story to be continued...when I finish the island painting...and they are both hung!
