Pet Portraits 2020-2023

Image
I started my pet portrait painting as a memorial for one of my neighbors whose dog Turbo passed away. From there word got out and I starting painting other neighbors' dogs, some past, some present. Then I starting getting commissioned for pet projects.  Hence, I've painted quite a few of these. These have been painted on stretched canvas, either 9" x 12" or 10" x 10".  All are painted with acrylics, then sealed with a matte finish.

Coco Joins the Neighborhood 2023

Image
Welcome sweet and timid Coco! She was a little rescue that was a good friend for her new sister Max (who passed in 2023) and the newest addition to our neighborhood. I painted a 2"x2" canvas magnet last year as a promise to paint her portrait, and the neighbor loved this pose the best, so here it is! I painted this little canvas magnet for Christmas of 2022 in the promise of a real portrait.  Still love this pose the best, shows her shy timid side the best.

Miscellaneous Art 2023

Apparently, I was not as motivated in 2023 as I have been in the past to produce much artwork.  I have several projects planned for 2024--a fish series on fence board, a couple of canvasses of local places that I remember from my childhood--to name a few. So just browse below for some of my little projects completed just to keep my head in the game. It t'was a weird year for me!
