Mary Settle - Artist

For Steve and Sharon This is the story of Stuart. He's a Great White Heron that visits my in-laws just about every day. I originally painted them a sign several years ago, and repainted it several times as well.  The weather wore out the original sign, so Sharon found a nice fence board for the new sign. I thought it should be jazzed up a bit, and they like the sunset colors, so keeping the same style, came up with this design.  I hope they like it, I know Stuart will.   Never would I believe what a great dog our American Eskimo Dog would turn into. He is almost two years old now and has finally learned his dog manners, and his watch dog skills, and many commands and tricks. He especially likes doing his perimeter checks around the pool, that the whole backyard, eventually coming back to the deck to sit loyally by our side to take it all in. He loves Yappy Hour by the pool, doing tricks like walking on his hind legs, or dancing a jig, shaking your hand and sitting up for his treats. He then supervises us while we swim in the pool, and then as though his energy just dies, he plops himself down in the shade for an afternoon siesta.  Gotta love this dog!
